Hizb 46
< random >
And indeed, Jonah was among the messengers. 139 When he ran to the laden ship, 140 And he drew lots and was among the losers. 141 So the fish swallowed him while he did that for which he blamed himself 142 Had he not been one of those who struggled hard, 143 He would certainly have remained inside the Fish till the Day of Resurrection. 144 ۞ But We threw him onto the open shore while he was ill. 145 And We caused a tree of gourd to grow above him; 146 And We sent him to a hundred thousand, rather they exceeded. 147 and [this time] they believed [in him] and so We allowed them to enjoy their life during the time allotted to them? 148 So inquire of them, [O Muhammad], "Does your Lord have daughters while they have sons? 149 Did We create the angels as females the while they witnessed?” 150 Now surely it is of their own lie that they say: 151 “Allah has begotten.” They are liars! 152 Has He chosen daughters over sons? 153 What is amiss with you and your judgment? 154 Will ye not then receive admonition? 155 Or, do you have a clear authority? 156 Bring your book if what you say is true. 157 They have established a kinship between Allah and the angels; and the angels know well that these people will be arraigned (as culprits). 158 Exalted is Allah above what they describe, 159 Except the chosen servants of Allah [who do not share in that sin]. 160 Wherefore verily neither ye nor that which ye worship, 161 You cannot tempt [anyone] away from Him 162 except him who shall roast in the Blazing Fire. 163 There is not one of us but hath his known position. 164 "And we are truly those who stand in rows, 165 and, verily, we too extol His limitless glory!" 166 And they surely were wont to say: 167 "Had we received guidance from the people living before us, 168 we would certainly be true servants of God." 169 But (now that the Quran has come) they disbelieve therein (i.e. in the Quran and in Prophet Muhammad SAW, and all that which he brought, the Divine Revelation), so they will come to know! 170 We decreed that Our Messenger servants 171 That verily they! they shall be made triumphant. 172 And that Our hosts, they verily would be the victors. 173 So turn away (O Muhammad SAW) from them for a while, 174 And (then) see them, so they too shall see. 175 What, do they seek to hasten Our chastisement? 176 When it descends upon their courtyards, evil will be the morning of those forewarned. 177 So turn thou from them for a while, 178 And watch (how they fare) and they soon shall see (how thou farest)! 179 Glory be to thy Lord, the Lord of Glory, above that they describe! 180 And peace be on the apostles. 181 and all praise be to Allah, the Lord of the Universe. 182
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
