And whatever strikes you of disaster - it is for what your hands have earned; but He pardons much. 30 you cannot escape Him anywhere on earth. You have no protector or helper other than God. 31 And among His Signs are the ships, smooth-running through the ocean, (tall) as mountains. 32 If He wills, He causes the wind to cease, then they would become motionless on the back (of the sea). Verily, in this are signs for everyone patient and grateful. 33 Or He may destroy them because of that which they have earned, and He may pardon many of them. 34 And [that is so] those who dispute concerning Our signs may know that for them there is no place of escape. 35 That which has been given to you is only the wherewithal of the transient life of this world. But that which is with Allah is better and more enduring for those who believe and put their trust in their Lord; 36 who eschew grave sins and shameful deeds, and whenever they are angry, forgive; 37 And those who answer the call of their Lord and establish worship, and whose affairs are a matter of counsel, and who spend of what We have bestowed on them, 38 who, when a wrong is done to them, seek its redress. 39 The recompense for evil will be equivalent to the deed. He who pardons (the evil done to him) and reforms himself, will receive his reward from God. God certainly does not love the unjust. 40 And whoever defends himself after his being oppressed, these it is against whom there is no way (to blame). 41 The way is only open against those who do wrong to the people, and are insolent in the earth wrongfully; there awaits them a painful chastisement. 42 And indeed whoever patiently endured and forgave – then indeed these are acts of great courage. 43
