Have you seen the one who turned away 33 And he gave a little, then refrained? 34 Is with him the knowledge of the unseen so that he sees? 35 Or has he not been informed of what was in the scriptures of Moses 36 and of Abraham, who lived up to the trust? 37 That no soul laden bears the load of another, 38 And that man will not obtain anything except what he strove for? 39 And that his striving shall soon be seen- 40 and that he shall then be fully recompensed, 41 To your Lord will all things eventually return. 42 It is He who causes laughter and weeping. 43 And that it is He Who causeth to die and causeth to live. 44 That He created pairs, male and female, 45 From a drop of liquid, when it is added? 46 That He hath promised a Second Creation (Raising of the Dead); 47 And that it is He Who enricheth and preserveth property. 48 And that He only is the Lord of the star Sirius? 49 and that He destroyed Ad, the ancient, 50 And that Thamud! He left not. 51 and before them the people of Noah who were even more unjust and insolent; 52 And that it is He Who threw down the upturned townships? 53 And covered them by that which He covered. 54 About which, then, of thy Sustainer's powers canst thou [still] remain in doubt? 55 This (Muhammad SAW) is a warner (Messenger) of the (series of) warners (Messengers) of old. 56 The Hour that was to come draws ever nearer. 57 No one besides God can rescue a soul from hardship. 58 Do you then wonder at this announcement? 59 And will you laugh and not weep? 60 while you are thoughtless? 61 So prostrate yourselves before God and worship him. ۩ 62
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
