The dwellers in El-Hijr cried lies to the Envoys. 80 And We brought Our signs unto them, yet they were averting themselves therefrom. 81 They used to hew dwellings in the mountains to live in security. 82 An explosion struck them in the morning. 83 and of no avail to them was all [the power] that they had acquired. 84 And We created not the heavens and the earth and all that is between them except with truth, and the Hour is surely coming, so overlook (O Muhammad SAW), their faults with gracious forgiveness. [This was before the ordainment of Jihad holy fighting in Allah's Cause]. 85 Surely your Lord is the Creator and knows (everything). 86 We have given thee seven of the oft-repeated (verses) and the great Qur'an. 87 Strain not thine eyes toward that which We cause some wedded pairs among them to enjoin, and be not grieved on their account, and lower thy wing (in tenderness) for the believers. 88 and say, 'Surely, I am the manifest warner.' 89 Just as We had revealed [scriptures] to the separators 90 those who had split up their Qur'an into pieces. 91 So, by your Lord, We would most certainly question them all, 92 concerning what they have been doing. 93 Therefore proclaim openly (Allah's Message Islamic Monotheism) that which you are commanded, and turn away from Al-Mushrikun (polytheists, idolaters, and disbelievers, etc. - see V. 2:105). 94 Indeed We suffice you against these mockers. 95 Who set up along with Allah another ilah (god), they will come to know. 96 And assuredly We know that thou straitenest thy breast by that which they say. 97 but extol thou thy Sustainer's limitless glory and praise Him, and be of those who prostrate themselves [before Him] in adoration, 98 Worship your Lord till the certainty (death) comes to you. 99
