The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ The believers must (eventually) win through,- 1 who in their prayers are humble 2 And those who turn away from Al-Laghw (dirty, false, evil vain talk, falsehood, and all that Allah has forbidden). 3 those who pay the zakat; 4 And who guard their modesty - 5 except with their wives and what their right hand possess, and then they are not blamed. 6 So whoever desires more than these two – they are crossing the limits. 7 And those who are keepers of their trusts and their covenant, 8 and those who observe their prayers. 9 these are the heirs 10 Who will inherit al-Firdaus. They will abide therein eternally. 11 We created man of an extraction of clay, 12 Then We placed him as a sperm in a firmly established lodging; 13 Then fashioned We the drop a clot, then fashioned We the clot a little lump, then fashioned We the little lump bones, then clothed the bones with flesh, and then produced it as another creation. So blessed be Allah, the Best of creators! 14 after this you shall surely die. 15 and you will be brought back to life again on the Day of Resurrection. 16 And We created above you seven ways, and We were not heedless of creation. 17 We sent down water from the sky in right measure, and caused it to stay in the earth, and We have the power to cause it to vanish (in the manner We please). 18 Then We produced for you therewith gardens of palms and vines wherein are many fruits for you, and of them you eat, 19 The tree that grows on Mount Sinai yields oil and seasoning for those who eat. 20 In the cattle, too, is a lesson for you. We let you drink of that which is in their bellies, and there are many benefits in them for you, and you eat of them, 21 And on them and on the ships you are borne. 22
