Hizb 46
< random >
And Yunus was most surely of the apostles. 139 when he fled like a runaway slave onto a laden ship. 140 cast lots, and was among the losers. 141 And a fish swallowed him, and he was reproaching himself. 142 Now had he not been of those that glorify God, 143 He would certainly have remained inside the Fish till the Day of Resurrection. 144 ۞ But We threw him on a wide bare tract of land while he was ill; 145 and We caused a pumpkin tree to grow over him. 146 And We sent him to a hundred thousand, rather they exceeded. 147 And they believed; so We permitted them to enjoy (their life) for a while. 148 So inquire of them, [O Muhammad], "Does your Lord have daughters while they have sons? 149 Did We create the angels as females the while they witnessed?” 150 Oh, verily, it is out of their own [inclination to] falsehood that some people assert, 151 God hath begotten. Verily they are the liars. 152 Has He chosen daughters above sons? 153 What aileth you? How judge ye? 154 “So do you not ponder?” 155 “Or do you have some clear proof?” 156 “Then bring forth your Book, if you are truthful!” 157 And some people have invented a kinship between Him and all manner of invisible forces although [even] these invisible forces know well that, verily, they [who thus blaspheme against God] shall indeed be arraigned [before Him on Judgment Day: for] 158 God is too glorious to be described as they describe Him 159 Not (so do) the Servants of Allah, sincere and devoted. 160 So you and your deities 161 Not against Him can you cause (any) to fall into trial, 162 except for he who shall roast in Hell. 163 And there is none of us but has an assigned place, 164 We stand in ranks (for prayer) 165 we are they that give glory. 166 And indeed, the disbelievers used to say, 167 If we had but a reminder from the men of old 168 Surely we would have been the bondmen of God sincere. 169 But (now that the Quran has come) they disbelieve therein (i.e. in the Quran and in Prophet Muhammad SAW, and all that which he brought, the Divine Revelation), so they will come to know! 170 And assuredly Our word hath already gone forth Our bondmen, the sent ones: 171 That they would be helped, 172 and Our armies shall be the victors. 173 So withdraw from them (O Muhammad) awhile, 174 And watch them (how they fare), and they soon shall see (how thou farest)! 175 What, do they seek to hasten Our chastisement? 176 Then, when it descends into their courtyard (i.e. near to them), evil will be the morning for those who had been warned! 177 So turn (O Muhammad SAW) away from them for a while, 178 And watch, for they will (soon) see. 179 Hallowed be thine Lord, the Lord of Majesty, from that which they ascribe! 180 And peace be on the Messengers! 181 and all praise be to Allah, the Lord of the Universe. 182
Almighty Allah's Truth.
