Say: "Truly am I a Warner: no god is there but the one Allah, Supreme and Irresistible,- 65 Lord of the heavens and the earth and whatever is between them, the Exalted in Might, the Perpetual Forgiver." 66 Say: "This is a momentous message, 67 Whence ye turn away! 68 I had no knowledge of the chiefs on high when they disputed; 69 This alone is revealed to me, that I am only a clear warner.' 70 (Remember) when your Lord said to the angels: "Truly, I am going to create man from clay". 71 after I have shaped him and breathed of My spirit (I created) into him, fall down prostrate before him' 72 So the angels prostrated themselves, all of them together: 73 Except Iblees; he was arrogant and became among the disbelievers. 74 Said Allah, “O Iblis! What prevented you from prostrating before one whom I have created with My hands*? Have you become proud or were you haughty from the beginning?” (Used as a metaphor). 75 He said: I am better than he: me Thou hast created of fire, and him Thou hast created of clay. 76 He said: Then get out of it, for surely you are driven away: 77 My curse will remain upon you till the Day of Judgement!" 78 He said: my Lord! respite me till the Day whereon they are raised up. 79 Said He, 'Thou art among the ones that are respited 80 till the Appointed Day." 81 He (satan) said: 'I swear by Your Might, that I will seduce all of them 82 excepting those Thy servants among them that are sincere.' 83 He (Allah) said: 'This is the truth, and I speak the truth: 84 I will fill up Hell with you and every one of them who follows you." 85 (Muhammad), say, "I do not ask any reward for my preaching to you for I am not a pretender. 86 It is but a reminder to the worlds. 87 And ye shall surely come to know the truth thereof after a season. 88
