As for one who turns away from the remembrance of the Gracious God, We appoint for him a devil, who will become his intimate companion. 36 And verily, they (Satans / devils) hinder them from the Path (of Allah), but they think that they are guided aright! 37 till, when he comes to Us, he says, 'Would there had been between me and thee the distance of the two Easts!' An evil comrade! 38 It will be said [to such a person], "You have done wrong. Having partners in punishment will be of no avail to you today." 39 Can you make the deaf to hear, or show the blind, and those lost in clear error, the way? 40 And even if We take you (O Muhammad SAW) away, We shall indeed take vengeance on them. 41 or show them to you suffering the torment with which We had threatened them. We are certainly dominant over them all. 42 Therefore hold fast to that which has been revealed to you; surely you are on the right path. 43 The (Qur'an) is indeed the message, for thee and for thy people; and soon shall ye (all) be brought to account. 44 Ask Our Messengers whom We sent before you if We have ever made gods, other than the Merciful, to be worshipped. 45
