Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By oath of those which carry away while dispersing. 1 and those that bear the burden [of the rain], 2 and those that speed along with gentle ease, 3 And those [angels] apportioning [each] matter, 4 Verily that wherewith ye are threatened is surely true. 5 The Judgement will indeed take place. 6 By the heaven with its passages, 7 surely, you are in different sayings, 8 Deluded away from the Qur'an is he who is deluded. 9 Slain be those who mould from their imaginations. 10 Who are within a flood [of confusion] and heedless. 11 They ask: When is the Day of Judgment? 12 (It will be) a Day when they will be tried (and tested) over the Fire! 13 'Taste your trial. This is what you have sought to hasten' 14 As for the God-fearing, they shall be in the midst of gardens and fountains, 15 Taking what their Lord gives them; surely they were before that, the doers of good. 16 they would lie asleep during but a small part of the night, 17 And every morning asked forgiveness, 18 And in their properties there was the right of the beggar, and the Mahrum (the poor who does not ask the others). 19 And in the earth there are signs for those who are sure, 20 And in yourselves. Then will you not see? 21 And in heaven is your provision, and that you are promised. 22 And by the Lord of the heavens and the earth, it is the truth, even as (it is true) that ye speak. 23
