Have you seen the one who turned away 33 And he gave a little, then refrained? 34 Does he have knowledge of the hidden, so he can foresee? 35 Nay, is he not acquainted with what is in the Books of Moses- 36 and Abraham, who paid his debt in full? 37 That no one who carries a burden bears another's load; 38 nor can man achieve anything without hard labor. 39 And that his effort will be seen. 40 Thereafter he shall be recompensed therefor with the fullest recompense. 41 And that to your Lord is the goal- 42 And that it is He Who made (you) laugh and made (you) cry? 43 And that it is He who causes death and gives life 44 It is He who has created spouses, male and female, 45 From a seed when lodged (in its place); 46 And that on Him is the bringing forth a second time; 47 And that it is He who enriches and suffices 48 That He is the Lord of Sirius (the Mighty Star); 49 It is He who utterly destroyed the ancient tribes of Ad, 50 and Thamud, leaving no trace [of them,] 51 Like the people of Noah before them, who were surely oppressors and rebellious; 52 just as He thrust into perdition those cities that were overthrown 53 and caused them to be covered with that which He covered them with. 54 So which then of your Lord's favors do you dispute? 55 This is a warner of the warners of old. 56 The Day of Resurrection draws near, 57 and none but Allah can avert it. 58 Do you then wonder at this recital (the Quran)? 59 And laugh and not weep? 60 Wasting your time in vanities? 61 Prostrate yourselves before Allah, and serve Him. ۩ 62
