And certainly We delivered the children of Israel from the abasing chastisement, 30 [inflicted on them] by Pharaoh, seeing that he was truly outstanding among those who waste their own selves; 31 and indeed, We chose them knowingly above all other people, 32 And gave signs to them in which there was a clear trial. 33 Indeed, these [disbelievers] are saying, 34 'There is nothing except the first death, we shall never be revived. 35 "Then bring back our fore-fathers, if you speak the truth!" 36 Are they better than the people of Tubba' and those who came before them? We destroyed them, because they were guilty of sin. 37 We created not the heavens, the earth, and all between them, merely in (idle) sport: 38 We created them not save with a purpose but most of them know not. 39 Truly, the Day of Decision is the appointed time for all of them, 40 On that Day no cousin shall help his cousin and they shall not be helped 41 Except him on whom Allah has Mercy. Verily, He is the All-Mighty, the Most Merciful. 42
