Kneeling (Al-Jaatheyah)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
Ha-Mim. 1 The revelation of the Book is from Allah, the Mighty, the Wise. 2 Surely in the heavens and earth there are signs for the believers; 3 And in your creation, and all the beasts that He scattereth in the earth, are portents for a folk whose faith is sure. 4 And [in] the alternation of night and day and [in] what Allah sends down from the sky of provision and gives life thereby to the earth after its lifelessness and [in His] directing of the winds are signs for a people who reason. 5 These are Allah's Signs that We rehearse to you in Truth. In what kind of discourse after Allah and His Signs will they, then, believe? 6 Woe unto every sinful self-deceiver 7 Who hears the communications of Allah recited to him, then persists proudly as though he had not heard them; so announce to him a painful punishment. 8 And when he comes to know about any of the verses, he mocks at it; for them is a disgraceful punishment. 9 In front of them is Hell: and of no profit to them is anything they may have earned, nor any protectors they may have taken to themselves besides Allah: for them is a tremendous Penalty. 10 This is guidance; for those who disbelieve in the verses of their Lord the anger of the painful punishment awaits them. 11
