So did you observe him who turned away? 33 who gave a little, and then stopped? 34 Does he [claim to] have knowledge of something that is beyond the reach of human perception, so that he can see [it clearly]? 35 Or, has he not been told of that which is in the Scrolls of Moses 36 And of Ibrahim, who was most obedient? 37 That no soul shall bear another's burden, 38 And that there is not for man except that [good] for which he strives 39 He will certainly see the result of his labor 40 and will be fully recompensed for his deeds. 41 that all things in the end shall return to God; 42 and that He it is Who causes people to laugh and to cry, 43 and that it is He who makes to die, and that makes to live, 44 And that He created pairs, the male and the female 45 From a sperm-drop when it is emitted 46 and that upon Him is the second creation 47 that it is He who gives wealth and possessions; 48 That He is the Lord of Sirius; 49 and that He destroyed Ad, the ancient, 50 and Thamud tribes, 51 as well as the people of Noah before them - [since,] verily, they all had been most willful in their evildoing and most overweening 52 and the Subverted City He also overthrew, 53 So there covered them that which covered. 54 Then which of thy Lord's bounties disputest thou? 55 This is a (Prophet) like that of the ancient warners (Prophets). 56 There hath approached the approaching Hour. 57 There is no one to unveil it apart from God. 58 Marvel ye then at this statement, 59 Or do you laugh, and do you not weep 60 Will you occupy yourselves simply in merriment? 61 Rather, prostrate to Allah and worship Him. ۩ 62
