No, by the moon! 32 Consider the night when it departs, 33 The morning when it is unveiled, 34 it is one of the greatest trials, 35 A warning to mortals, 36 To whoever wills among you to proceed or stay behind. 37 Every soul will be a pledge for that which it hath earned, 38 except the people of the right hand 39 (They will be) in Gardens (of Delight): they will question each other, 40 of those who were lost in sin: 41 “What drove you to Hell?” 42 They will answer: "We did not fulfil our devotional obligations, 43 And we have not been feeding the poor. 44 we indulged in vain arguments along with those who indulged in them; 45 And we have been belying the Day of Requital. 46 "Until there came to us (the death) that is certain." 47 And so, of no benefit to them could be the intercession of any that would intercede for them. 48 If such will be the Day of Judgment, what is the matter with them? Why do they run away from guidance, 49 like frightened donkeys 50 fleeing from a lion? 51 Yea, everyone of them claims that he [himself] ought to have been given revelations unfolded! 52 No indeed; the truth is that they have no fear of the Hereafter. 53 Nay, verily. Lo! this is an Admonishment. 54 So, whoever wills may benefit from it. 55 But none will remember, unless Allah wills, He is the Owner of fear, the Owner of forgiveness. 56
