Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the (winds) sent forth in quick succession, 1 by (the angels) as swift as blowing winds, 2 And by the winds that scatter clouds and rain; 3 By those who winnow with a winnowing, 4 and those hurling a reminder 5 excusing or warning, 6 that whatever with which you have been warned will inevitably come to pass. 7 So when stars are effaced. 8 And when the heaven is cleft asunder; 9 And when the mountains are carried away by wind. 10 and when the messengers are brought together at the appointed time -- 11 To what day is the doom fixed? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 And what do you know, what the Day of Decision is! 14 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth. 15 Did We not destroy the earlier people? 16 So shall We make later (generations) follow them. 17 Thus do We deal with the criminals. 18 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 19 Did We not create you out of a humble fluid 20 which We then placed in a secure repository 21 For a known extent. 22 Then We facilitated (your birth). How well do We calculate! 23 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 24 Did We not make the earth as a gathering place 25 For the living and the dead among you? 26 and have We not set on it proud, firm mountains, and given you sweet water to drink? 27 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 28 “Move towards what you used to deny!” 29 Depart to a triple-massing shadow 30 which neither provides (cooling) shade nor protection against the flames; 31 it throws spits as (high as a huge) palace, 32 like giant fiery ropes! 33 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 34 That will be the Day on which they will not (be able to) utter a word, 35 neither be given leave, and excuse themselves. 36 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth 37 This is the Day of Decision; We have gathered you and all the earlier men. 38 So if you have a plan, then plan against Me. 39 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 40
