The people of Al-Hijr denied Our apostles; 80 We showed them miracles but they ignored them. 81 And they used to carve from the mountains, houses, feeling secure. 82 So the rumbling overtook them in the morning; 83 and whatever they had been earning proved of no avail. 84 We created not the heavens, the earth, and all between them, but for just ends. And the Hour is surely coming (when this will be manifest). So overlook (any human faults) with gracious forgiveness. 85 Indeed your Lord only is the Great Creator, the All Knowing. 86 We have indeed given you the seven oft-repeated (examples), and the majestic Qur'an. 87 Strain not thine eyes toward that which We cause some wedded pairs among them to enjoin, and be not grieved on their account, and lower thy wing (in tenderness) for the believers. 88 And proclaim, “Indeed I, yes I, am the clear Herald of Warning.” 89 So We sent it down to the partitioners, 90 who have broken the Koran into parts, 91 By the Lord, We will hold them all responsible 92 concerning what they have been doing. 93 So proclaim that which thou art commanded, and withdraw from the idolaters. 94 Surely We suffice to deal with those who scoff at you, 95 and those who set up other gods with Allah, indeed, they will soon know. 96 Indeed, We know your chest is straitened by that they say. 97 So glorify the praises of your Lord and be of those who prostrate themselves (to Him). 98 and worship your Lord until what is certain [death] comes to you. 99
