And on the day when the enemies of Allah are herded towards the fire, the earlier groups will be restrained till the latter join them. 19 and when all have arrived, their ears, their eyes, and their skins shall bear witness against them, stating all that they had done in the life of the world. 20 And they will ask their skins, "Why did you bear witness against us?" and their skins will reply, "God, who gives speech to all things, has given speech to us [as well], it was He who created you in the first instance and to Him you are [now] brought back, 21 "Ye did not seek to hide yourselves, lest your hearing, your sight, and your skins should bear witness against you! But ye did think that Allah knew not many of the things that ye used to do! 22 It is this notion you had of your Lord that caused your ruin, and you are lost." 23 Then if they are patient, the Fire is their home, and if they seek to please Allah, they will not be of those who are allowed to please Allah. 24 ۞ And We have assigned unto them some companions who made fairseeming unto them that which was before them and that which was behind them, and justified upon them was the word pronounced on the communities of the jinn and mankind who passed away before them; verily they were the losers. 25
