Kingship (Al-Mulk)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ BLESSED BE HE who holds the (reins of) Kingship in His hand, who has power over everything, 1 Who created death and life that He may try you-- which of you is best in deeds; and He is the Mighty, the Forgiving, 2 Who created the seven heavens one above another; you see no incongruity in the creation of the Beneficent Allah; then look again, can you see any disorder? 3 Then look again and yet again, your sight will return to you in a state of humiliation and worn out. 4 And assuredly We have bedecked the nearest heaven with lamps, and We have made them missiles for satans: and for them We have gotten ready the torment of the Blaze. 5 Those who are bent on blaspheming against their Lord will have the punishment of Hell: an evil destination. 6 When they will be cast thereinto, they will hear thereof a braying even as it boileth up, 7 and wellnigh bursts asunder with rage. As often as a troop is cast into it, its keepers ask them, 'Came there no warner to you?'; 8 They will say: “Yes, a warner came to us, but we gave the lie to him and said: 'Allah has revealed nothing. You are surely in huge error.' 9 They will say: 'If we had only listened and understood, we would not be among the inmates of the Blazing Fire.'” 10 Thus will they come to realize their sins: but [by that time,] remote will have become all good from those who are destined for the blazing flame. 11 Surely those who fear their Lord in the Unseen -- there awaits them forgiveness and a great wage. 12 And whether ye hide your word or publish it, He certainly has (full) knowledge, of the secrets of (all) hearts. 13 What! Will He Who has created not know? Whereas He knows every detail, the All Aware! 14
