Al-Taareq

The Comet (Al-Taareq)

17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)

In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

I swear by the heaven and the comer by night; 1 And have you understood what the nightly arriver is? 2 (It is a nightly radiant star). 3 There is no living being but there is a protector over it. 4 So let man look - from what is he created. 5 He was created from spurting fluid, 6 which comes out of the loins and ribs. 7 Verily, (Allah) is Able to bring him back (to life)! 8 The Day when secrets will be put on trial, 9 So man will neither have any strength nor any aide. 10 By heaven of the returning rain, 11 And the earth which opens up (with verdure), 12 Most surely it is a decisive word, 13 it is no merriment. 14 They (disbelievers) plot every evil plan, 15 and I am devising guile. 16 Give respite to the disbelievers and leave them alone for a while. 17

Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
