The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Blissful are the believers 1 Who are humble in their service, 2 And those who from everything vain turn away. 3 pay their religious tax 4 And those who of their private parts are guards. 5 Except from their wives or the legal bondwomen that they possess, for then there is no blame upon them. 6 whereas such as seek to go beyond that [limit] are truly transgressors; 7 Those who are faithfully true to their Amanat (all the duties which Allah has ordained, honesty, moral responsibility and trusts etc.) and to their covenants; 8 and who observe their prayers. 9 These are the real gainers, 10 Who will inherit paradise. There they will abide. 11 We created the human from an essence of clay: 12 Then We placed him as a sperm-drop in a firm lodging. 13 Then We created of the drop, a clot (of congealed blood) and We created the clot into bitesize tissue, then We created the bitesize tissue into bones, then We clothed the bones with flesh, and then produced it an other creation. Blessed is Allah, the Best of creators! 14 Thereafter you will certainly die 15 and you will be brought back to life again on the Day of Resurrection. 16 And We have created above you seven layered heavens, and never have We been of [Our] creation unaware. 17 We sent down water from the sky in due measure, and lodged it in the earth, and We are able to take it all away. 18 And by means of this [water] We bring forth for you gardens of date-palms and vines, wherein you have fruit abundant and whereof you eat, 19 Also, a tree which grows on the Tor of Sinai and gives oil and relish for its eaters. 20 And most surely there is a lesson for you in the cattle: We make you to drink of what is in their bellies, and you have in them many advantages and of them you eat, 21 You are carried by the animals on land and by the ships in the sea. 22
