The people of Noah [too] gave the lie to [one of God's] message-bearers 105 When their brother Nuh said unto them: fear ye not? 106 "I am a trustworthy Messenger to you. 107 so serve you God, and obey you me. 108 "And no reward whatever do I ask of you for it: my reward rests with none but the Sustainer of all the worlds. 109 So fear Allah and obey me." 110 ۞ They replied, "Are we to believe in you when your followers are but the lowest of the low?" 111 He said, “What do I know what their deeds are?” 112 Their account is only upon my Lord, if you [could] perceive. 113 I will not drive away the believers. 114 I am only a plain warner." 115 They said: "O Noah! If you do not desist, you will certainly become one of the accursed." 116 He said: 'My Lord, my nation have belied me. 117 hence, lay Thou wide open the truth between me and them, and save me and those of the believers who are with me!" 118 Wherefore We delivered him and those with him in the laden ark. 119 and then We caused those who stayed behind to drown. 120 Indeed in that is a sign, but most of them were not to be believers. 121 And verily! Your Lord, He is indeed the All-Mighty, the Most Merciful. 122
