Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
Alif Lam Mim 1 These are the verses of the Book of wisdom, 2 A Guide and a Mercy to the Doers of Good,- 3 who perform the prayer, and pay the alms, and have sure faith in the Hereafter. 4 Those are upon guidance from their Lord; those are the prosperers. 5 There are some people who would purchase distracting talk, to lead astray from the Path of Allah without knowledge, and take it in mockery; for those is a humiliating punishment. 6 And when our verses are recited to him, he turns away arrogantly as if he had not heard them, as if there was in his ears deafness. So give him tidings of a painful punishment. 7 But for those who believe and do good works are Gardens of Bliss, 8 They shall abide in them forever. This is Allah's promise that shall come true. He is the Most Powerful, the Most Wise. 9 He has created the skies without any support that you could see, and has placed firm mountains upon the earth, lest it sway with you, and has caused all manner of living creatures to multiply thereon. And We sent down water from the skies, and thus We made every kind of excellent plant grow there: 10 Such is Allah's creation. Show me, then, what any others, apart from Allah, have created. Nay, the fact is that the wrong-doers are in manifest error. 11
