It is He who sends down water from the sky. From it you drink and with it trees grow on which you pasture your cattle. 10 And thereby He brings forth crops and olives, palms and vines, and all the fruits. Surely, in this there is a sign for a nation who think. 11 He has subjected for you the night and the day and the sun and the moon and the stars have also been made subservient by His command. Surely there are Signs in this for those who use their reason. 12 All that He has created for you on the earth are of different colors. In this there is evidence of the Truth for the people who take heed. 13 It is He who subjected to you the sea, that you may eat of it fresh flesh, and bring forth out of it ornaments for you to wear; and thou mayest see the ships cleaving through it; and that you may seek of His bounty, and so haply you will be thankful. 14 And He cast on the earth firm mountains, lest it shake with you, and rivers and ways; so haply you will be guided; 15 The stars and other signs also help people to find their way. 16 So, could one who creates be like one who cannot? Will you not then contemplate? 17 If you count the favours of God you will not be able to calculate. Assuredly God is forgiving and kind. 18 and God knows all that you keep secret as well as all that you bring into the open. 19 And those upon whom they call beside Allah have not created aught, and are themselves created. 20 Dead, without life they are, and do not know when they will be raised. 21
