We also favoured Moses and Aaron, 114 and We delivered both of them and their people from the great calamity. 115 And We succoured them so that they became overcomers. 116 And We gave them the clear Scripture; 117 and guided them to the straight path; 118 And We left for them [favorable mention] among later generations: 119 Peace be upon Moosa and Haroon! 120 This is how We reward the virtuous. 121 for those two were truly among Our believing servants. 122 Elijah too was one of the messengers. 123 Behold, he said to his people, "Will ye not fear (Allah)? 124 Do you call on Baal and abandon the Best of Creators, 125 God, your Sustainer and the Sustainer of your forebears of old?" 126 But they called him a liar, therefore they shall most surely be brought up. 127 Except the chosen creatures of God. 128 And We perpetuated to him (praise) among the later generations. 129 "Peace upon Elias." 130 Lo! thus do We reward the good. 131 He is indeed one of Our high ranking, firmly believing bondmen. 132 And Lot too was one of the Messengers. 133 We saved him and all his kinsmen, 134 except an old woman who was among those that stayed behind; 135 Then We destroyed the others. 136 And indeed you pass over them in the morning. 137 And at night. Will ye not therefore reflect? 138
