(Muhammad), remind them, by the Grace of your Lord, that you are neither a soothsayer or an insane person. 29 Or do they say: “He is a poet for whom we await an adverse turn of fortune.” 30 Proclaim, “Go on waiting – I too am waiting along with you.” 31 Does their reasoning prompt them to this, or they are a people rebellious? 32 Or do they say, "He has invented it himself"? Indeed, they are not willing to believe. 33 (If they are truthful in this), then let them produce a discourse of similar splendour. 34 Were they created by nothing, or were they themselves the creators? 35 [And] have they created the heavens and the earth? Nay, but they have no certainty of anything! 36 Or do they have your Lord's treasures in their keeping? Or have absolute authority over them? 37 Or have they a ladder, by which they can (climb up to heaven and) listen (to its secrets)? Then let (such a) listener of theirs produce a manifest proof. 38 Does God have daughters while you have sons? 39 Or do you demand any wages from them so that they are burdened with expense? 40 Do they possess knowledge of the unseen, so that they can write it down? 41 Or, do they desire to outwit? The unbelievers are the outwitted. 42 Or have they any god beside Allah? Glorified be Allah from all that they ascribe as partner (unto Him)! 43 If they should see a segment falling from the sky, they would say: "It is only a massive cloud." 44 so leave them alone till they face the Day on which they will be struck dumb, 45 A day in which their guile will naught avail them, nor will they be helped. 46 Surely a chastisement awaits the wrong-doers even before the coming of that Day; but most of them do not know. 47 So wait patiently (O Muhammad SAW) for the Decision of your Lord, for verily, you are under Our Eyes, and glorify the Praises of your Lord when you get up from sleep. 48 and extol His glory at night, and at the time when the stars retreat. 49
