The Embryo (Al-Alaq)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
Proclaim! (or read!) in the name of thy Lord and Cherisher, Who created- 1 He created man from a clot of blood. 2 Read! Your Lord is the Most Generous, 3 who has taught [man] the use of the pen 4 He taught the human being what he did not know. 5 Nay! Verily, man does transgress all bounds (in disbelief and evil deed, etc.). 6 that he sees himself sufficed. 7 Lo! unto thy Lord is the return. 8 What do you think? Have you seen he who forbids 9 a servant (of Allah) when he prays? 10 Seest thou if he is on (the road of) Guidance?- 11 Or he commandeth piety? 12 Seest thou if he denies (Truth) and turns away? 13 Did he not know that God sees? 14 Nay! if he desist not, We would certainly smite his forehead, 15 A forelock that lies, is sinful. 16 So let him call his associates, 17 We will call on the angels of punishment (to deal with him)! 18 No! Do not obey him. But prostrate and draw near [to Allah]. ۩ 19
God the Almighty always says the truth.
