And We did not send a prophet in a town but We overtook its people with distress and affliction in order that they might humble themselves. 94 Then We changed the evil for the good, until they increased in number and in wealth, and said: "Our fathers were touched with evil (loss of health and calamities) and with good (prosperity, etc.)." So We seized them of a sudden while they were unaware. 95 And if the people of the towns had believed and guarded (against evil) We would certainly have opened up for them blessings from the heaven and the earth, but they rejected, so We overtook them for what they had earned. 96 Then, did the people of the cities feel secure from Our punishment coming to them at night while they were asleep? 97 Or do the people of the dwellings not fear that Our wrath may come upon them during the day, while they are playing? 98 Can they remain secure against the plan of God? Only they feel secure against the plan of God who are certain of being ruined. 99

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
