Believers! Do not swallow interest, doubled and redoubled, and be mindful of Allah so that you may attain true success. 130 And beware of the Fire gotten ready for the infidels. 131 Obey God and the Prophet, that you may be treated with mercy. 132 ۞ And vie with one another to attain to your Sustainer's forgiveness and to a paradise as vast as the heavens and the earth, which has been readied for the God-conscious 133 who spend in the way of Allah both in plenty and hardship, who restrain their anger, and forgive others. Allah loves such good-doers." 134 And those who, when they do an evil thing or wrong themselves, remember Allah and implore forgiveness for their sins - Who forgiveth sins save Allah only? - and will not knowingly repeat (the wrong) they did. 135 Their recompense is pardon by their Lord, and gardens with streams of running water where they will abide for ever. How fair is the recompense of those who act! 136 Many eras have passed before you. Go about, then, in the land and behold the end of those who gave the lie to (the directives and ordinances of Allah). 137 This is an explanation for mankind, a guidance and an advice to the pious. 138 So do not become weak (against your enemy), nor be sad, and you will be superior (in victory) if you are indeed (true) believers. 139 If you have been wounded they too have suffered a wound. We cause this alternation of night and day in the affairs of men so that God may know those who believe, taking some as witness (of truth) from your ranks, for God does not like those who are unjust. 140 test the faith of the believers, and deprive the unbelievers of (His) blessings. 141 Do you think you will go to Paradise while God does not know who among you strive and persist? 142 And you used to wish for death before you met it; so now you see it before your eyes. 143
