And make mention (O Muhammad) of Our bondman Job, when he cried unto his Lord (saying): Lo! the devil doth afflict me with distress and torment. 41 (We commanded him): “Stamp your foot on earth, and here is cool water to wash with and to drink.” 42 We restored to him his family and like those with them, a mercy from Us and a reminder to a nation that understand. 43 [We said], "And take in your hand a bunch [of grass] and strike with it and do not break your oath." Indeed, We found him patient, an excellent servant. Indeed, he was one repeatedly turning back [to Allah]. 44 And remember thou Our bondmen, Ibrahim and Is-haq and Ya'qub, owners of might and insight. 45 We chose them for a special [purpose] -- proclaiming the message of the Hereafter: 46 Indeed with Us they are among the chosen, the excellent. 47 Recall Ismael, Elisha, and Dhulkifl (Ezekiel) who were all virtuous people. 48 This is an advice; and indeed for the pious is an excellent abode. 49 the Gardens of Eden whose gates shall be open to them, 50 Reclining therein, calling therein for many fruits and drink. 51 ۞ And with them will be women limiting [their] glances and of equal age. 52 This is what you, [the righteous], are promised for the Day of Account. 53 Indeed, this is Our provision; for it there is no depletion. 54 This: and verily for the exorbitant there shall be an evil retreat: 55 Hell; they shall enter it, so evil is the resting-place. 56 (They will be told), "This is your recompense. 57 Taste the scalding water, pus, and other putrid things". 58 [Its inhabitants will say], "This is a company bursting in with you. No welcome for them. Indeed, they will burn in the Fire." 59 [And] they [who had been seduced] will exclaim: "Nay, but it is you! No welcome to you! It is you who have prepared this for us: and how vile a state to abide in!" 60 They will say: "O Lord, give him who has brought this upon us two times more the torment of Hell;" 61 And will add: "O what has happened to us that we do not see the men we counted among the wicked. 62 and whom we mocked? Have they been rescued or can our eyes not find them?" 63 Lo! that is very truth: the wrangling of the dwellers in the Fire. 64
