The person endowed with faith said: “My people, follow me; I shall direct you to the Path of Rectitude. 38 O my people! Lo! this life of the world is but a passing comfort, and lo! the Hereafter, that is the enduring home. 39 Whosoever does an evil deed will be requited only with the like of it; and whosoever acts righteously and has attained to faith -- be he a male or a female -- they shall enter Paradise and be provided sustenance beyond all reckoning. 40 ۞ My people, "How strange is it that I invite you to salvation when you invite me to the fire. 41 [for] you call upon me to deny [the oneness of] God and to ascribe a share in His divinity to aught of which I cannot [possibly] have any knowledge the while I summon you to [a cognition of] the Almighty, the All-Forgiving! 42 Assuredly that whereunto ye call me hath no claim in the world or in the Hereafter, and our return will be unto Allah, and the prodigals will be owners of the Fire. 43 And you will remember what I [now] say to you, and I entrust my affair to Allah. Indeed, Allah is Seeing of [His] servants." 44 God protected him against their evil plans and the people of the Pharaoh were struck by the most horrible torment. 45 They will be exposed to the fire in the mornings and the evenings and on the Day of Judgment, they will be told, "People of the Pharaoh, suffer the most severe torment." 46 And when they argue with one another in Hell, the weak will say to the proud: 'We were your followers, will you help us against any share of the Fire' 47 Those who had waxed proud will reply: “All of us are in it. Allah has already passed His judgement among His servants.” 48 Those in the Fire will say to its keepers, "Implore your Lord to relieve our torment for one day," 49 They will say: came there not your apostles unto you with evidences? They will say: Yea? They will say: supplicate then yourselves. And supplication of the infidels will be but in wandering. 50
