And assuredly unto the household of Fir'awn came the warning. 41 The (people) rejected all Our Signs; but We seized them with such Penalty (as comes) from One Exalted in Power, able to carry out His Will. 42 What then, are your unbelievers better than those? Or do you have an immunity (written) in the Scrolls? 43 Or do they say: "We are a group united, [and therefore] bound to prevail"? 44 Soon shall this legion be routed and shall turn their backs and flee. 45 Indeed, the Hour of Doom is their appointed time, and the Last Hour will be the most severe, and the most bitter. 46 for, behold, those who are lost in sin [will at that time come to know that it is they who] were sunk in error and folly! 47 There shall come a Day when they will be dragged on their faces into the Fire and will be told: “Now taste the flame of Hell.” 48 Surely We have created everything in measure. 49 We command but once: Our will is done in the twinkling of an eye; 50 And indeed, We have destroyed your likes, then is there any that will remember (or receive admonition)? 51 And everything they did is in written records. 52 Every small or great deed is written down. 53 Indeed, the righteous will be among gardens and rivers, 54 In a good seat, near a Sovereign Omnipotent. 55
