۞ God says, "Do not worship two gods. There is only One God. Have fear of Me". 51 And to Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and the earth, and to Him is [due] worship constantly. Then is it other than Allah that you fear? 52 Whatever bounties you have are from God. When hardship befalls you, you begin to cry out to Him. 53 And afterward, when He hath rid you of the misfortune, behold! a set of you attribute partners to their Lord, 54 that they may show ingratitude for what We gave them. So, take your pleasure, you shall soon know. 55 And they (even) assign, to things they do not know, a portion out of that which We have bestowed for their sustenance! By Allah, ye shall certainly be called to account for your false inventions. 56 And they assign to God daughters; glory be to Him! -- and they have their desire; 57 and when any of them is given the good tidings of a girl, his face is darkened and he chokes inwardly, 58 Because of the evil of the good news he hides himself from people, (pondering) whether he will keep her and be humiliated, or trample her into the dust. Evil is their judgement! 59 For those who do not believe in the Hereafter is the description of evil; and for Allah is the highest attribute. And He is Exalted in Might, the Wise. 60
