Moses said, "Lord, grant me courage. 25 'and do Thou ease for me my task. 26 And loose a knot from my tongue. 27 so that they might fully understand my speech, 28 and appoint for me a helper from among my family, 29 Harun, my brother. 30 Strengthen me through him, 31 And share my task, 32 That we may glorify Thee much 33 and may remember You much. 34 Surely Thou seest into us.' 35 The Lord said, "Moses, your request is granted. 36 And We had already conferred favor upon you another time, 37 Recall, when We indicated to your mother through inspiration: 38 to lace her child in a chest and throw it into the sea which would hurl it towards the shore. Then an enemy of Mine who was also the enemy of the child would pick it up from there. I made you attractive and loveable so that you would be reared before My own eyes. 39 "When your sister went and said: 'Shall I show you one who will nurse him?' So We restored you to your mother, that she might cool her eyes and she should not grieve. Then you did kill a man, but We saved you from great distress and tried you with a heavy trial. Then you stayed a number of years with the people of Madyan (Midian). Then you came here according to the fixed term which I ordained (for you), O Musa (Moses)! 40 “And I created you especially for Myself.” 41 Go with My signs, you and your brother, and do not be lax in remembering Me. 42 Go, both of you to Pharaoh, for he has transgressed all bounds. 43 yet speak gently to him, that haply he may be mindful, or perchance fear.' 44 They (Moses and Aaron) said: "Our Lord! We fear lest he hasten with insolence against us, or lest he transgress all bounds." 45 God said, "Do not fear; I am with you both. I hear and I see. 46 So go you both to Pharaoh, and say, "We are the Messengers of thy Lord, so send forth with us the Children of Israel and chastise them not; we have brought thee a sign from thy Lord; and peace be upon him who follows the guidance! 47 It is revealed to us that a punishment will fall on those who belie and turn away." 48 (Firon) said: And who is your Lord, O Musa? 49 Musa said: our Lord is He who vouchsafed unto everything its creation, then guided it. 50 Pharaoh asked, "What about the previous generations?" 51 He (Moses) answered: 'The knowledge of them is in a Book with My Lord. My Lord neither goes astray, nor forgets. 52 It is God who has made the earth as a cradle for you with roads for you to travel. He has sent water from the sky to produce various pairs of plants. 53 (Saying): Eat ye and feed your cattle. Lo! herein verily are portents for men of thought. 54
