The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By the aligners (angels) aligning. 1 and restraining [from evil] by a call to restraint, 2 And those who recite the message, 3 surely, your God is One, 4 He is the Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, the Lord of the Eastern regions. 5 Lo! We have adorned the lowest heaven with an ornament, the planets; 6 (For beauty) and for guard against all obstinate rebellious evil spirits, 7 so they cannot listen to the High Assembly, for they are pelted from every side. 8 rejected, and theirs is an everlasting chastisement, 9 And if any is able to snatch a fragment, he is pursued by a piercing flame. 10 (Muhammad), ask them, "Have they (people) been created stronger than what We have created?" We have created them from moist clay. 11 Aye! thou marvellest, and they scoff. 12 And, when they are admonished, pay no heed,- 13 And when they behold a sign, they turn to scoffing. 14 And say: "This is only magic. 15 What! when we are dead and have become dust and bones, shall we then certainly be raised, 16 And also our forefathers? 17 Say thou: and verily ye; shall then be despicable. 18 So that is just a single jolt, thereupon they will begin staring. 19 And they shall say: O woe to us! this is the day of requital. 20 (It will be said): "This is the Day of Judgement which you used to deny." 21
