The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ TRULY, to a happy state shall attain the believers: 1 Those who humbly cry in their prayers. 2 And who do not incline towards indecent matters. 3 And those who for the sake of purification are doers. 4 Who guard their sex 5 Except from their wives and women slaves of old are free of blame, 6 Those who seek beyond that are transgressors. 7 (Prosperous are those) who preserve their trusts and pledges 8 And who pay heed to their prayers. 9 Those are the heirs 10 who will inherit Paradise; they shall live there for ever. 11 We created man out of the extract of clay, 12 Thereafter We made him of a sperm in a receptacle safe. 13 and then We create out of the drop of sperm a germ-cell, and then We create out of the germ-cell an embryonic lump, and then We create within the embryonic lump bones, and then We clothe the bones with flesh - and then We bring [all] this into being as a new creation: hallowed, therefore, is God, the best of artisans! 14 And then, behold! after all this, you are destined to die; 15 Then surely on the day of resurrection you shall be raised. 16 We made several highways one over the other above you. We are not neglectful of creation. 17 And We sent down from the sky water (rain) in (due) measure, and We gave it lodging in the earth, and verily, We are Able to take it away. 18 So with it We produced gardens of date-palms and grapes for you, in which is abundant fruit for you and you eat therefrom. 19 also a tree growing on Mount Sinai which produces oil and a condiment for those who eat it. 20 And indeed, for you in livestock is a lesson. We give you drink from that which is in their bellies, and for you in them are numerous benefits, and from them you eat. 21 and are carried on them and also on ships. 22
