The only statement of the [true] believers when they are called to Allah and His Messenger to judge between them is that they say, "We hear and we obey." And those are the successful. 51 And whosoever obeyeth Allah and His apostle, and dreadeth Allah and feareth Him - these! they are the achievers. 52 ۞ And they swear by Allah with their solemn oaths that, if thou commandest them they will surely go forth. Say thou: swear not, obedience is recognized! verily Allah is Aware of that which ye work. 53 Say: "Obey Allah and obey the Messenger, but if you turn away, he (Messenger Muhammad SAW) is only responsible for the duty placed on him (i.e. to convey Allah's Message) and you for that placed on you. If you obey him, you shall be on the right guidance. The Messenger's duty is only to convey (the message) in a clear way (i.e. to preach in a plain way)." 54 Allah has promised those among you who believe and do good deeds, that He will certainly give them the Caliphate in the earth the way He gave to those before them; and that He will certainly establish for them their religion which He has chosen for them, and will turn their prior fear into peace; they must worship Me and not ascribe anything as a partner to Me; and whoever is ungrateful after this – it is they who are the disobedient. 55 Establish the prayers, pay the charity, and obey the Messenger, in order to have mercy. 56 The unbelievers should not think that they can defeat God on earth. Their dwelling will be hell, the most terrible abode. 57
