We also bestowed Our favour on Moses and Aaron: 114 And saved them and their people from the great distress, 115 And We helped them, so they were the vanquishers. 116 And We gave them the divine writ that made [right and wrong] distinct, 117 And We guided them both on the right way. 118 and left for them among the later folk 119 Peace be with Moses and Aaron. 120 Verily We! thus We recompense the well-doers. 121 Indeed, they were of Our believing servants. 122 Elias too was one of the Envoys; 123 When he said to his people: "Will you not be mindful of God? 124 “What! You worship Baal (an idol) and leave the Best Creator?” – 125 Allah, your Lord and Lord of your forefathers? 126 But they cried him lies; so they will be among the arraigned, 127 Except the chosen servants of Allah. 128 And We kept his praise among the latter generations. 129 Peace be with the followers of Elias. 130 In this way do We reward the righteous ones. 131 surely he was one of Our believing servants. 132 Verily Lot was one of the apostles, 133 [and so,] when [We decreed the doom of his sinful town,] We saved him and his household, 134 Save an old woman among those who stayed behind; 135 We then destroyed the others. 136 You pass by (their habitations) in the morning 137 And at night. Will ye not therefore reflect? 138
