۞ Gather together those who did wrong and their comrades and that which they were wont to worship 22 Besides Allah, then lead them to the way to hell. 23 And halt them so that they may be questioned. 24 "What is the matter with you that you do not help each other?" 25 Nay, but that day they shall submit (to Judgment); 26 And some of them will confront the others, 27 They will say: verily ye! ye were wont to come unto us Imposing. 28 They will reply: "Nay, ye yourselves had no Faith! 29 And we had over you no authority, but you were a transgressing people. 30 “So the Word of our Lord has proved true upon us; we will surely have to taste (the punishment).” 31 So we led you astray; we ourselves were strayed.” 32 So they shall on that day be sharers in the chastisement one with another. 33 Thus do We treat the culprits. 34 Verily when it was said unto them: there is no god but Allah, they ever grew stiff-necked. 35 and replied, "Shall we then give up our deities at the bidding of a mad poet?" 36 "Surely, he has brought the truth, confirming those who were sent before; 37 Verily ye are going to taste a torment afflictive. 38 and not be recompensed, except according to what you were doing.' 39 But for the sincere worshipers of Allah, 40 Those will have a provision determined - 41 Fruits of every kind, and they will be honoured 42 In gardens of pleasure, 43 (Sitting) on couches, face to face, 44 a cup from a spring being passed round to them, 45 White, delicious to the drinkers, 46 No bad effect is there in it, nor from it will they be intoxicated. 47 And with them will be women limiting [their] glances, with large, [beautiful] eyes, 48 As if they were eggs carefully protected. 49 Then they will turn to one another, mutually questioning. 50 one of them will say, "I had a friend, 51 'Do you believe in the Day of Judgment? 52 ‘That when we are dead and have turned into dust and bones, that we will either be rewarded or punished?’ 53 He saith: Will ye look? 54 He will look down and see him in hell. 55 He says, 'By God, wellnigh thou didst destroy me; 56 "Had it not been for the Grace of my Lord, I should certainly have been among those brought (there)! 57 "Is it (the case) that we shall not die, 58 Except for our first death, and we will not be punished?" 59 Verily this! that is the supreme achievement. 60 for which one must strive hard. 61 Is such [a paradise] the better welcome - or the [hellish] tree of deadly fruit? 62 which We have made as a torment for the unjust? 63 Verily it is a tree that springeth forth in the bottom of Flaming Fire. 64 The fruit thereof is as though the hoods of the serpents. 65 And verily they must eat thereof and fill their bellies therewith. 66 Then indeed, they will have after it a mixture of scalding water. 67 Then their return will be to the same blazing Hell. 68 They had indeed found their forefathers astray. 69 So they in their footsteps are rushing. 70 And indeed before them, most of the former people went astray. 71 and We sent among them warners; 72 See how those who were warned met their end! 73 except the sincere worshipers of Allah. 74
