Hizb 46
< random >
And indeed Yunus is one of the Noble Messengers. 139 He abandoned his people 140 And then they cast lots and he was the one who lost, 141 Then he was swallowed by a large fish as he was worthy of blame. 142 And had he not been one of those who glorify (Allah) 143 He would have remained inside its belly until the Day they are resurrected. 144 ۞ But We cast him, upon the shore, and he was ill, 145 And We caused to grow, over him, a spreading plant of the gourd kind. 146 and We sent him forth to a nation of a hundred thousand or more, 147 And they believed, therefor We gave them comfort for a while. 148 (Muhammad), ask them, "Do daughters belong to your Lord and sons to them? 149 Or did We create the angels as females while they were witnesses?" 150 Is it not that they say, from their own invention, 151 Allah hath begotten. Allah! verily they tell a lie. 152 Has He chosen daughters above sons? 153 Woe to you! How terrible is your Judgment. 154 What, and will you not remember? 155 Or, do you have a clear authority? 156 “Then bring forth your Book, if you are truthful!” 157 They have set up a kinship between Him and the jinn; and the jinn know that they shall be arraigned. 158 Glory to Allah! (He is free) from the things they ascribe (to Him)! 159 But not so the servants of Allah, the purified ones. 160 So neither you nor those you worship 161 you shall tempt none against Him 162 unless it be such as rushes towards the blazing fire [of his own accord]! 163 (Gabriel said to the Prophet): 'Each of us has a known place. 164 we are those who stand ranged in ranks. 165 “And indeed we are those who say His purity.” 166 They used to say before: 167 "If only we had had before us a Message from those of old, 168 We would certainly have been the servants of Allah-- the purified ones. 169 And yet, [now that this divine writ has been placed before them,] they refuse to acknowledge it as true! In time, however, they will come to know [what it was that they had rejected]: 170 And verily Our word went forth of old unto Our bondmen sent (to warn) 171 that, verily, they - they indeed - would be succoured, 172 and that Our hosts shall triumph. 173 So withdraw from them (O Muhammad) awhile, 174 And (then) see them, so they too shall see. 175 Do they want to suffer Our torment immediately? 176 But then, once it alights upon them, hapless will be the awakening of those who were warned [to no avail]! 177 And turn thou aside from them for a season. 178 and see; and they too shall soon see. 179 Your Lord, the Lord of Honor, is too exalted to be considered as they describe Him. 180 Peace be on the Messengers. 181 And praise be to Allah, Lord of the Worlds! 182
Almighty God's Truth.
End of Surah: The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat). Sent down in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
