▼ 54 The Moon
Al-Qamar 3 of 3
The warnings also came to Pharaoh's people, 41 They cried lies to Our signs, all of them, so We seized them with the seizing of One mighty, omnipotent. 42 Are the unbelievers among you any better than they? Or is there immunity for you in the Scriptures? 43 Or do they say: “We are a strong legion, strong enough for victory?” 44 The group will soon be routed, and will turn their backs to flee. 45 Nay, but the Hour is their tryst, and the Hour is very calamitous and bitter. 46 Truly those in sin are the ones straying in mind, and mad. 47 The Day they will be dragged in the Fire on their faces (it will be said to them): "Taste you the touch of Hell!" 48 Verily everything! We have created it by a measure. 49 Our command consists of only one Word which is carried out in the twinkling of an eye. 50 And verily We have destroyed your fellows; but is there any that remembereth? 51 And each and everything they have done is noted in (their) Records (of deeds). 52 every action, small or great, is noted down. 53 [Hence, too,] behold, the God-conscious will find themselves in [a paradise of] gardens and running waters, 54 In a seat of honor near a Sovereign, Perfect in Ability. 55

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
