Hizb 46
< random >
And verily Yunus was of the sent ones. 139 Recall what time he ran away unto a laden ship. 140 and sailed away in a laden ship, wherein people cast lots. Because he lost, he was thrown into the water. 141 Then the fish swallowed him, while he was blameworthy. 142 And had he not been one of those who glorify (Allah) 143 he would certainly have remained inside the fish until the Day of Resurrection. 144 ۞ Then We cast him on to the vacant surface of the earth while he was sick. 145 And We caused to grow up for him a gourdplant. 146 And We sent him to a hundred thousand (people) or even more. 147 And they believed, so We gave them enjoyment [of life] for a time. 148 Now ask them if their Lord has daughters, and they sons? 149 Or created We the angels females while they were witnesses? 150 It is only because of their false invention that they say, 151 Allah hath begotten. Allah! verily they tell a lie. 152 (And again of their falsehood): He hath preferred daughters to sons. 153 What ails you that you judge in such a wise? 154 Do you not understand? 155 Or have you, perchance, a clear evidence [for your assertions]? 156 Then bring ye your Book (of authority) if ye be truthful! 157 They have established a kinship between Allah and the angels; and the angels know well that these people will be arraigned (as culprits). 158 Exalted is Allah above what they describe, 159 Not thus, however, [behave] God's true servants: 160 But as for you, and that you worship, 161 you shall tempt none against Him 162 except for he who shall roast in Hell. 163 The angels say, "Each of us has an appointed place. 164 “And indeed we, with our wings spread, await the command.” 165 And verily we! we hallow. 166 They used to say before: 167 “If only we had the Reminder which had been granted to the people of yore 168 we would surely have been God's chosen servants," 169 But they disbelieved in it; soon they shall know! 170 Already Our Word has preceded to Our servants, the Envoys; 171 will certainly be victorious 172 And most surely Our host alone shall be the victorious ones. 173 So turn thou from them for a while, 174 And see them thou; they themselves shall presently see. 175 Do they want to suffer Our torment immediately? 176 When that chastisement will descend upon their courtyard, evil shall that Day be for those who had been warned. 177 And turn thou aside from them for a season. 178 And wait, for they will soon see. 179 Glory be to your Lord: the Lord of Glory is far above what they attribute to Him. 180 So peace be on the messengers, 181 and all praise be to Allah, the Lord of the Universe. 182
Almighty God's Truth.
End of Surah: The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat). Sent down in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
