No calamity befalls, but with the Leave [i.e. decision and Qadar (Divine Preordainments)] of Allah, and whosoever believes in Allah, He guides his heart [to the true Faith with certainty, i.e. what has befallen him was already written for him by Allah from the Qadar (Divine Preordainments)], and Allah is the All-Knower of everything. 11 Obey God and obey His Apostle. If you turn away, the duty of the Apostle is to convey the message clearly. 12 Allah! There is no god but He: and on Allah, therefore, let the Believers put their trust. 13 O ye who believe! verily of your wives and your children there is an enemy unto you; wherefore beware of them. And if ye pardon and pass over and forgive, then verily Allah is Forgiving, Merciful. 14 Your possessions and your children are only a trial, and Allah it is with Whom is a great reward. 15 So fear Allah as much as you are able and listen and obey and spend [in the way of Allah]; it is better for your selves. And whoever is protected from the stinginess of his soul - it is those who will be the successful. 16 If ye lend unto Allah a goodly loan, He will multiply it unto you and will forgive you; and Allah is Appreciator, Forbearing. 17 He knows that which is beyond the ken of perception as well as that which can be perceived. He is the Most Mighty, the Most Wise. 18
