Nay! By the moon 32 By the receding night 33 and the dawn when it is white, 34 Indeed hell is one of the greatest entities. 35 A warning for people -- 36 To any of you that chooses to go forward (by working righteous deeds), or to remain behind (by commiting sins), 37 Every soul is held in pledge against its own deeds, 38 except those of the right hand 39 (They will be) in Gardens (of Delight): they will question each other, 40 about the sinners. 41 'What thrusted you into Sakar?' 42 They said, “We never used to offer the prayer.” 43 nor did we feed the destitute. 44 And plunged into useless things with those who were obstinate, 45 and we cried lies to the Day of Doom, 46 Till death overtook us. 47 So no intercession of intercessors will be of any use to them. 48 What is the matter with them that they turn away from this Reminder, 49 As though they were asses startled. 50 That had fled from a lion? 51 Rather, every person among them desires that he would be given scriptures spread about. 52 No! But they do not fear the Hereafter. 53 Nay, verily, this is an admonition 54 So whosoever willeth may heed it. 55 And they shall not heed unless Allah willeth. He is the Lord of piety, and the Lord of forgiveness. 56
