The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
I swear by the runners breathing pantingly, 1 Striking stones with their hooves, sparking fire. 2 as they gallop to make raids at dawn, 3 And raise the dust in clouds the while, 4 Then rush thereby upon an assembly: 5 The human being is certainly ungrateful to his Lord. 6 He himself bears witness to that. 7 And indeed he loves wealth to the extreme. 8 ۞ Does he not know,- when that which is in the graves is scattered abroad 9 and all that is in the hearts is made public, 10 Verily, that Day (i.e. the Day of Resurrection) their Lord will be Well-Acquainted with them (as to their deeds), (and will reward them for their deeds). 11
True are the words of God the Almighty.
