The people of al-Hijr also rejected Our messengers: 80 And We gave them Our communications, but they turned aside from them; 81 And they used to carve dwellings in the hills, without fear. 82 But the (Awful) Cry overtook them at the morning hour, 83 And all that they had done (for security) availed them nothing. 84 And We did not create the heavens and the earth and what is between them two but in truth; and the hour is most surely coming, so turn away with kindly forgiveness. 85 Indeed, your Lord - He is the Knowing Creator. 86 We have given you the seven dual (verses, Al Fatihah) and the Mighty Holy Reading (Koran). 87 Strain not thine eyes toward that which We cause some wedded pairs among them to enjoin, and be not grieved on their account, and lower thy wing (in tenderness) for the believers. 88 and clearly tell the unbelievers: "I am most certainly a plain warner," 89 Such as We send down for those who make division, 90 And severed their Scripture into fragments. 91 By the Lord, We will hold them all responsible 92 for what they have done 93 Therefore declare openly what you are bidden and turn aside from the polytheists. 94 We shall help you against those who mock you 95 Who set up along with Allah another god; presently they shall know. 96 And surely We know that your breast straitens at what they say; 97 Therefore proclaim the Purity of your Lord with praise, and be of those who prostrate. 98 and serve thy Lord, until the Certain comes to thee. 99
