And lo! it is a revelation of the Lord of the Worlds, 192 Which the trustworthy Ruh [Jibrael (Gabriel)] has brought down; 193 to your heart that you might become one of those who warn (others on behalf of Allah), 194 in a clear, Arabic tongue. 195 And verily, [the essence of] this [revelation] is indeed found in the ancient books of divine wisdom [as well]. 196 Is it not a Sign to them that the Learned of the Children of Israel knew it (as true)? 197 Had We revealed it to any one of the non-Arabs, 198 who would have read it to them, they (pagans) would not have believed in it. 199 Even so, We have caused it to enter into the hearts of harmdoers: 200 They will not believe in it until they suffer the painful torment. 201 But the (Penalty) will come to them of a sudden, while they perceive it not; 202 And they will say, "May we be reprieved?" 203 Do they wish Us then to hasten the punishment? 204 Did you consider that if We were to let them enjoy life for many years 205 And then what they were promised comes upon them, 206 what will it then avail them, the enjoyment of days they were given? 207 And We did not destroy any city except that it had warners 208 By way of admonition, and We have never been oppressors. 209 It was not the satans who brought it down: 210 It is not allowable for them, nor would they be able. 211 Truly, they are expelled from hearing. 212 Therefore do not worship another deity along with Allah, for you will be punished. 213 And warn your near relations, 214 And be kind and humble to the believers who follow you. 215 Then if they disobey you say to them: "I am quit of what you do." 216 And put your trust in Him Who is Immensely Mighty, Most Compassionate, 217 Who seeth thee standing forth (in prayer), 218 And your turning over and over among those who prostrate themselves before Allah. 219 Surely He is the Hearing, the Knowing. 220 Shall I declare unto you upon whom the satans descend! 221 They descend upon all sinful self-deceivers 222 They pass on what is heard, and most of them are liars. 223 And the poets - [only] the deviators follow them; 224 Did you not see that they keep wandering in every valley? 225 and that they [so often] say what they do not do [or feel]? 226 Except those who believe (in the Oneness of Allah Islamic Monotheism), and do righteous deeds, and remember Allah much, and reply back (in poetry) to the unjust poetry (which the pagan poets utter against the Muslims). And those who do wrong will come to know by what overturning they will be overturned. 227
