We saved the Children of Israel from their humiliating torment 30 They (had experienced) under the Pharaoh. He was certainly a tyrant, guilty of excess. 31 And We certainly chose them by knowledge over [all] the worlds. 32 And We vouchsafed unto them signs wherein was a manifest favour. 33 These men do say, 34 “There is nothing except our dying just once, and we will not be raised.” 35 Then bring [back] our forefathers, if you should be truthful." 36 Are they better than the people of Tubba' and those who came before them? We destroyed them, because they were guilty of sin. 37 And We created not the heavens and the earth and all that is in-between the twain sporting. 38 We did not create them except in truth, but most of them do not know. 39 Surely the day of separation is their appointed term, of all of them 40 The Day when no protector can avail his client in aught, and no help can they receive, 41 except those to whom Allah shows mercy. He is the Most Mighty, the Most Compassionate. 42
