He Frowned ('Abasa)
42 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ He frowned and turned (his) back, 1 that the blind man came to him. 2 What made you think that he will not grow in virtue, 3 or take heed and derive benefit from [Our] warning? 4 For him who does not care, 5 to him didst thou give thy whole attention, 6 And not upon you [is any blame] if he will not be purified. 7 And he who comes to thee eagerly 8 and who has fear of God, 9 you ignore him. 10 No! Indeed, these verses are a reminder; 11 and whosoever wills, shall remember it. 12 in [the light of His] revelations blest with dignity, 13 Exalted (in dignity), kept pure and holy, 14 By the hands of scribes. 15 and angelic scribes. 16 May (the disbelieving) human being be condemned! What makes him disbelieve? 17 Of what did He create him? 18 From a (sperm) drop He created him and then determined him, 19 Then made his passage easy (at birth); 20 and in the end He causes him to die and brings him to the grave; 21 Then, when He will, He bringeth him again to life. 22 By no means hath he fulfilled what Allah hath commanded him. 23 So man must look at his food. 24 How We poured down water in torrents, 25 and then We cleave the earth [with new growth,] cleaving it asunder, 26 And cause the grain to grow therein 27 And grapes and herbage 28 and olives and palms, 29 And gardens, dense with many trees, 30 And fruits and fodder,- 31 for you and for your animals to enjoy. 32 So when the deafening Shout arrives, 33 On the Day a man will flee from his brother 34 and his mother and his father; 35 And his wife and his sons; 36 for on that day everyone will be completely engrossed in his own concerns. 37 Some faces that Day, will be bright (true believers of Islamic Monotheism). 38 laughing, rejoicing at glad tidings. 39 Some faces on that Day shall be dust-ridden, 40 enveloped by darkness. 41 Those are the disbelievers, the wicked. 42
True are the words of God the Almighty.
End of Surah: He Frowned ('Abasa). Sent down in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)

Notes and Instructions
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
