The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the chargers panting, 1 by the strikers of fire, 2 And raiding at dawn 3 and blaze a trail of dust, 4 And cleaving their way therein into the host, 5 Most surely man is ungrateful to his Lord. 6 and to this, behold, he [himself] bears witness indeed: 7 for, verily, to the love of wealth is he most ardently devoted. 8 ۞ Does he not know that when that which is in the graves is overthrown, 9 And that which is in the breasts (of men) shall be made known. 10 surely on that day their Lord shall be aware of them! 11
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
