Pray, “My Lord! If You show me the promise they are given,” 93 then do not include me, my Lord, among these wrong-doing people." 94 And most surely We are well able to make you see what We threaten them with. 95 Repel evil by what is best; We know best what they describe. 96 Say: "My Lord, I seek refuge in You from the evil promptings of the devils. 97 And I seek refuge with Thee, my Lord! lest they may be present with me. 98 [AS FOR THOSE who will not believe in the life to come, they go on lying to themselves] until, when death approaches any of them, he prays: "O my Sustainer! Let me return, let me return [to life,] 99 that I should do righteousness in that I forsook' No! It is only a word which he will speak. Behind them there shall stand a barrier till the Day that they shall be resurrected. 100 And when the trumpet is blown there will be no kinship among them that day, nor will they ask of one another. 101 Then those whose scales are heavy, they are the successful. 102 And the ones whose scales prove light – it is they who put their lives into ruin, remaining in hell forever. 103 Their faces will be scorched by flames, and they will grin and scowl within it. 104 [And God will say:] "Were not My messages conveyed unto you, and were you [not] wont to give them the lie?" 105 They will say: "Our Lord! Our misfortune prevailed over us. We were indeed an erring people. 106 O our Sustainer! Cause us to come out of this [suffering] - and then, if ever We revert [to sinning,] may we truly be [deemed] evildoers!" 107 'Slink you into it,' He shall say, 'and do not speak to Me. 108 There was a group of my servants among you who always prayed: Lord, forgive us and grant us mercy; You are the best of those who show mercy. 109 But you made a laughing stock of them to the point where it made you forget My remembrance; and you went on laughing at them. 110 Indeed, I have rewarded them this Day for their patient endurance - that they are the attainers [of success]." 111 He will ask, "How many years did you stay on earth?" 112 They will answer: "We have spent there a day, or part of a day; but ask those who [are able to] count [time]" 113 He will say: "You stayed only for a while, if you only knew that. 114 "Did ye then think that We had created you in jest, and that ye would not be brought back to Us (for account)?" 115 High Exalted be Allah, the King, the Truth. There is no god except He, the Lord of the Noble Throne. 116 He who crieth unto any other god along with Allah hath no proof thereof. His reckoning is only with his Lord. Lo! disbelievers will not be successful. 117 So say: "O my Lord! grant Thou forgiveness and mercy for Thou art the Best of those who show mercy!" 118
